1. Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) define the rights and obligations of La Bastide de Damien and its guests in the context of booking and staying at the property.

Any reservation implies full and unconditional acceptance of these GTCS.

3. Property Characteristics

La Bastide de Damien is an intimate property exclusively reserved for an adult clientele.
The establishment cannot accommodate children or minors, even when accompanied.

The number of guests is voluntarily limited to a maximum of 10 guests per day, in order to guarantee calm, privacy, and exceptional service.

Capacity & Access Conditions

Our Rooms and Suites are designed exclusively for two guests only.
It is not possible to receive friends, family members, or photographers on the premises.

Pets

Our accommodations are not suitable for pets. Pets are therefore not allowed.


4. Electric Vehicle Charging Station

We regret that we are unable to provide an electric vehicle charging station.
Charging via standard electrical outlets is not permitted.


5. Reservations

5.1 Booking Methods

Reservations may be made:

  • via the official website

  • by phone

  • by email

  • through partner booking platforms

5.2 Booking Confirmation

A reservation becomes final and binding:

  • upon booking, which requires full payment,

  • and a confirmation email will be sent within 48 hours.


6. Rates

Rates include:

  • accommodation

  • access to the private facilities of the reserved Suite

Unless otherwise stated, rates do not include:

  • optional services and additional experiences

  • the local tourist tax, payable on site according to the applicable rate

La Bastide de Damien reserves the right to modify its rates at any time.
The applicable price is the one in effect at the time of booking.


7. Payment

7.1 Accepted Payment Methods

  • Credit card

  • Bank transfer

  • Cash (within the legal limit)


8. Cancellation and Modification Policy

8.1 Cancellation by the Guest

The following rules apply:

  • Reservations are non-cancellable.

  • Up to 20 days before arrival, it is possible to modify the stay dates.

Any request to reschedule will only be effective after written confirmation from us.

➡️ To avoid inconvenience in case of unforeseen circumstances, we strongly recommend subscribing to the SAFEBOOKING cancellation insurance, offered after your online reservation.
This coverage provides fast support in many situations (illness, accident, cancelled leave, etc.).

Gift Card Reservations

Any booking made with a gift card is considered final:
non-cancellable and non-refundable.


9. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services provided on a specific date.


10. Arrival and Departure

  • Check-in: from 4:30 PM
    Please note that during this time, our team is carefully preparing your Suite with meticulous and personalized attention. This rule cannot be waived for any reason.
    We will however be ready to welcome you until 11:00 PM.

  • Check-out: no later than 11:00 AM

Any unauthorized late departure may result in additional charges.

Guests are kindly requested to do a final check before leaving, as forgotten items will not be shipped back.
However, we will keep them available for your next visit.


11. House Rules and Guest Conduct

Guests agree to:

  • respect the peaceful and high-end atmosphere of the property

  • behave respectfully toward the premises, staff, and other guests

Any inappropriate behavior, damage, or failure to comply with house rules may result in:

  • immediate termination of the stay without refund

  • billing for any damages caused

Immediate termination without refund may be unilaterally decided by the owner in case of:

  • threats or aggressive behavior toward staff

  • blackmail through reviews or comments

  • unreasonable noise disturbances

  • bringing outside food or beverages onto the premises


12. Liability

La Bastide de Damien cannot be held responsible for:

  • loss, theft, or damage of guests’ personal belongings

  • damage resulting from improper use of facilities

Use of installations (jacuzzi, swimming pool, wellness equipment) is entirely under the guest’s responsibility.


13. Force Majeure

La Bastide de Damien shall not be held liable in the event of force majeure or circumstances beyond its control (extreme weather, administrative decisions, major technical failures, etc.).


14. Personal Data

Personal data collected is used exclusively for reservation management and guest relations.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), guests have the right to access, correct, and delete their personal data.


15. Disputes and Applicable Law

These GTCS are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first.
Failing that, the competent courts will be those within the jurisdiction of the property’s registered office.


16. Acceptance of the Terms

Booking a stay at La Bastide de Damien implies full acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale without reservation.


Appendix: SAFEBOOKING Insurance Benefits

SAFEBOOKING insurance:

  • Covers all participants in the reservation, without requiring family relation

  • Simplified online claim declaration

  • Dedicated claims manager available Monday to Friday
    (9 AM–12 PM and 2 PM–6 PM)

  • Compensation within 72 hours after completing the file

  • Insured by AREAS

Examples of covered situations:

Trip Cancellation

  • Illness / Accident / Hospitalization

  • Death

  • Adoption

  • Terrorist attack

  • Natural disaster

  • Court summons

  • Water damage, fire, explosion at home or business

  • Retake examination

  • Organ transplant

  • Pregnancy

  • Dismissal

  • Transfer

  • New job obtained

  • Vehicle damage

  • Vaccination (excluding COVID-19)

  • Theft of ID or passport

  • Employer cancellation or modification of leave

Trip Interruption

  • Illness / Accident / Hospitalization

  • Death

  • Repatriation

  • Theft

  • Late arrival (all justified causes)

  • Forgotten personal items in the accommodation

COVID Extension

  • Positive PCR or antigen test within 72 hours before departure

  • Declared COVID illness within the month prior to departure

  • Boarding refusal due to temperature check or positive test

  • Death due to COVID contamination


About Bank Cards

Some bank cards only cover cancellation in case of death or serious illness.
Conditions and processing times vary depending on the bank and contract.
